American made luxury cars from various automakers are always a real treat to see and an even better one to buy.
When doing shopping nothing beats a good car-gazing first.
The choice for sure is big, but we like it when we can have a complete picture when it comes to our most adored category…
…the luxury class.
Nothing beats a good old American car, and in an increasingly difficult global market…
…an American vehicle has become a somewhat like a rare animal in the wild.
But irony aside, a lot of car shoppers still want an American car in their drive lane.
Maintaining the American Economy
Maybe it’s just maintaining brand loyalty or people just want their payments and taxes to further stimulate the national economy.
The tricky part is that defining this particular noun “American” in the automotive sales is becoming ever so difficult when it stacks up on the global market.
Even though there are turbulences…
…there is hope for those consumer-patriots because American-made products from most mainstream brands are ever so present and available.
We wanted to create a list where we can put the vehicles that are and maybe deserve to be in the luxury department and, of course, are built in the USA.
2014 Buick LaCrosse
Maybe it sounds french but this stunner of a sedan comes from Kansas City, Kansas, and you can’t get more American than a Buick.
You would agree with us that this fine looking LaCrosse is a vehicle that really gets better with age.
Like every other automaker Buick also needs an overhauling here and there so some of the changes and improvements that are visible with this model…
…as well as some interior revisions for the last year model like the updated IntelliLink touchscreen interface, the 2015 model of the LaCrosse is just as handsome and a par with the competition as when it hit the dealerships back in 2010.
Even without all of the improvements and current tech, the LaCrosse still has all of the fundamental features to be on a list of best american made cars.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette
…it reinvented it.
While the Corvette Z06 has a supercharged V8 and pushes well over 600 horsepower the C7 has a more modest V8 engine that sports around 460 horsepower.
Still, there is much more to this vehicle than the powerful engine. Chevrolet decided to make it serious and give the car the well deserved world-class interior.
The cool exterior-only confirms the title of America’s supercar status.
2015 Ford Mustang
The Ford Mustang built in Flat Rock, Michigan through the decades has always offered two distinguished things:
Its well-proven performance accompanied with a trademark design that has established an iconic style.
For this year, the automaker decided to step it up a notch with a bunch of revolutionary upgrades.
The new buyers can now look forward to an independent rear suspension, as well as an upgraded interior.
This is all packed in a long fluid body.
Regardless, the mighty 5.0-liter V8 with a high-revving character really roars with its 420+ horsepower.
The 2015 Mustang will also be available in a 2.3-liter turbo four version.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Well, we all agree that the Grand Cherokee shouldn’t really be in this list not being a regular car and all.
But the fact that the drive is a lot more car-like we are giving the green light on this one.
This model has a few notable things including the splendid-looking cabin, that stand firmly side by side against a lot of foreign SUVs and what’s cool about this vehicle is that it costs a few thousand bucks less.
The turbodiesel model of the Grand Cherokee is a very sweet option if you are considering a vehicle in this department which boasts 420 lb-ft of torque.
All of this and the power of the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine makes this car something every Cherokee aficionado would want to have in his garage.
2014 Tesla Model S
IT’s electric and has a very hard shell and that’s why we love it.
Everybody in the automotive industry is in awe with the Tesla company.
Just because of the fact that it managed to build a world-class car with the first batch.
And all of this accompanied with the effect of the rich wood and carbon-fiber inlays are just fine lining of the luxury this car brings.
But still, the main thing that attracts buyers to the sweet Model S is the mighty electric powertrain that revs up to 265 miles per charge and extremely silently propels the car to 60 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds.
That’s not all…
For the money, you also get an awesome interface that’s almost fully touchscreen, as well as a 7-passenger seating and a very neatly designed hatchback.
2015 Nissan Murano
What’s cool about the new 2015 Nissan Murano is that it will be constructed in the US of course at the company plant in Canton, Mississippi.
With this, the automaker is actually promising a sweet ultra-modern option for all of you crossover fans out there.
The angular exterior design wants to bring out the aggressive look of the car.
While under the hood there’s a basic 260-horsepower V6 engine.
On the inside:
the new version of the Murano is one level up from a crossover norm.
It has premium touches that increase the car’s visual appeal.
We just loved the smooth door panels that seamlessly blend into the dash, as well as the futuristic front seats.
2015 Hyundai Sonata
Correct, Hyundai is actually a Korean automaker…
…but we bet you didn’t know that there are Sonatas build in Alabama.
This splendid vehicle is now redesigned for 2015, and the carmaker sure knows how to poke in the eye of their contenders.
One thing’s certain:
Over the years the beautiful midsize Sonata is very much improving in every field.
This can be seen with the latest design that combines a confident exterior with a fine looking wood-trimmed dashboard on the inside.
Under the hood there is a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine which is offers normal driving for your everyday need.
But on the other hand you can also buy the optional and more powerful 245-hp 2.0-liter turbo engine.
It offers more but the best part is that it remains very much fuel-efficient.
The gasoline-powered Sonata is the one that’s actually built in the U.S. but if you are a fan of the hybrids then search for another american made luxury cars.
2014 Honda Accord
This vehicle is calling the land of the free it’s home for decades.
And when it comes to competing with the rivals it’s current model is a warrior that deserves all the respect.
Today’s Accord is actually being made in Marysville, Ohio and interestingly enough is the first of its kind to be equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
This technology helps the car achieve an Environmental Protection Agency-rated 30 mpg in a mixed driving experience and unlike the Sonata the guys from Honda also make the Accord Hybrid in the US.
2015 Toyota Camry
Like the lesser two the Toyota Camry is also build in the US.
Well if it wasn’t it would be in another list right?
Despite the fact that’s an american build it also has a new 2015 version.
Toyota can proudly say that the Camry is their best-selling sedan and it has several marks that make up this title.
The front dash is one of them:
it’s really straight forward and with the big buttons and the smooth waterfall design is quite a looker.
For Toyota first comes the safety and reliability of the Camry but if you want more boost to your daily routine you should definitively take a look at the Camry SE.
It’s a well known fact that Toyota’s powerful 3.5-liter V6 is something worth owning and knowing that the Toyota Camry is built in Georgetown, Kentucky is good enough for us.
2015 Chrysler 200
Even though Chrysler is in the news for giving its Dealership Workers free college tuitions they are finally stepping up the game in the competitive midsize sedan department with the new Chrysler 200.
This american beauty built in Sterling Heights, Michigan has a fine looking design…
…and with the cockpit-like dashboard the 200 is a family vehicle that packs a big punch.
It’s also quite fast it offers an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine that sports 295 horsepower.
Another interesting fact is that it’s the only car in this class that offers an all-wheel drive.
Alongside the high class cabin materials it also comes equipped with a 8.4-inch touchscreen powered by uConnect.
