Is the world going to see a new Bugatti soon?
That may be a question that both, enthusiasts and journalists, have been asking themselves forever.
After all, the Veyron is currently on the market for almost 10 years already (since 2005).
But you may get an answer to that question in 2016…
…when the Veyron-replacing Bugatti Chiron is allegedly set to release.
1. Bugatti Chiron 2016 is a car that is planned to have 1500 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 2.5 seconds.
Yep, you read well, that fast…
(Here pictured: Bugatti Gangloff concept)
According to Automobile, the Chiron is going to be much lighter than the Veyron it replaces.
It is going to have better handling too, which is much needed when you are tossing around something with 1500 horsepower under the hood.
2. There won’t be a Hybrid version, but the engine will make you smile
Different from lots of modern supercars, though, it is stated that the 2016 Bugatti Chiron will stay away from hybridization…
…favoring a quad-turbocharged W-16 and direct fuel injection, boosting power from 1,200 to 1,500.
In terms of speed:
288 mph is the supposed top end. At that rate, that will make the new Chiron the fastest car on the planet.
In the meantime, all of this detailed information stays unconfirmed from Bugatti.
However, we can expect the Chiron in 2016 with a price tag of, wait for it…
Which is a lot of scratch.
