Dodge Challenger Hellcat Dyno Tested At Hennessey Performance (Video)

Dodge Challenger Hellcat HPE850

Hennessey Performance is definitely the kind f company you visit when what you get from the factory simply isn’t as powerful as you want.

They are not the only one to offer aftermarket tuning, still are one of the best in the business.

They cover a large variety of vehicles from General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.

For this year, Hennessey’s offer is about to expand, as well as include some packages for the awesome 2015 SRT Hellcat.

As you can check on the video below, the tuner just got its hands on a Hellcat and tested it on the dyno, as usually happens with all new cars set to receive Hennessey updates.

It maybe sounds quite crazy to want to squeeze more oomph from the car’s 707-horsepower, supercharged V-8, but you have the Hellcat X as a solid proof that there’s no such thing as too much horsepower.

We couldn’t find lots of details yet, but anyway Hennessey’s website says there are two upgrades in the pipeline:

the HPE800 and the HPE850.

With the first upgrade, the output will be increased to 805 horsepower (as much as the Hellcat X), while the second one will have 852 horses on tap, which is 98 and 145 horses more than the standard Hellcat.

No information about the performance is available, but both should be amazing. Drivetrain upgrades aside, the Hennessey Hellcat will also feature “Hennessey” head rests and emblems, “HPE” badges, and numbered dash plaques.

We are going to bring some more info as soon as Hennessey Performance spills the beans.
