The ordering for the 2016 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak was finally kicked off last Thursday.
It was at a free block party in Golden, Colorado when Mopar announced it…
…on the Mopar Mile-High National Hot Rod Association Nationals happening there.
The Mopar’s Challenger Drag Pak was unveiled last month, and it includes a production car package equipped with factory parts geared toward drag racing.
The Drag Pak is created for drivers that are competing in nationally sanctioned drag racing series like the NHRA. The Challenger comes with either a supercharged 354 HEMI engine or a naturally aspirated 426 Race HEMI under its hood.
In addition to both cars:
Here is the race-prepped automatic transmission.
The 2016 Drag Pak also comes with the Dodge Challenger front and rear fascia trim as well as a redesigned full roll cage. The Challenger’s roll cage is redesigned so it suits the NHRA specifications.
Regarding the cockpit, it resembles a stock Challenger, but features the addition of a Mopar gauge pack, a safety net, racing seats and a five-point harness.
Customers can begin ordering the 2016 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak through authorized Dodge dealerships.
The Drag Pak comes with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price:
